Roswell leaders consider implementing paid parking in downtown district [Video]

ROSWELL, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – People flock to downtown Roswell because of its historic charm.

The restaurants and shops are plentiful, but parking is not.

Limited parking may be the only drawback. No one seems to be in love with the idea of the city implementing paid parking. The idea was floated at this week’s city council meeting.

David Bailey, who owns a wedding venue in town, voiced his opposition to paid parking.

“When I go to dinner here or elsewhere, I don’t want to pay for parking even though I can afford it,” he said at the city council meeting.

Other business owners and residents also spoke out against the idea of paid parking at the meeting.
