Heading into her third year in the WNBA, Rhyne Howard was expected to lead the Atlanta Dream productivity-wise, and she did just that.
Because of a leg injury she suffered early on during the season, she didn’t make the all-star cut in 2024, but she proved yet again why she’s one of the best basketball players on the planet this season. In 29 games, Howard averaged 17.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
Oh, and in the Dream’s last game of the regular season, she helped lead the team to a playoff berth-clinching victory over the 32-7 New York Liberty — the top team in the WNBA.
The former Kentucky star recorded 13 points, four assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block in 25 minutes of play. She was consistently knocking down the three as well, making three of her five three-point attempts in the win.
