PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A community is in shock after at least one deputy and a resident were shot on Saturday night in a Paulding County neighborhood.
A suspect is barricaded inside of a home in Hiram as law enforcement is working to get him out.
But for one resident, he can’t get back to his family, his wife and children, who are at a home inside the neighborhood that is blocked off by a massive amount of law enforcement. He said he went out to grab some food, and now he can’t get back home.
“When I was leaving, we had two undercover cops flying in. By the time I came back, probably six (or) seven minutes … they blocked it off, told everybody in the neighborhood to wait around,” resident Jonathan Clery said.
