POLICE: Suspect in custody after standoff outside home in Longview found with counterfeit fentanyl, cocaine [Video]

An arrest warrant had been issued for the suspect for possession of a controlled substance.

LONGVIEW, Texas — One person is in custody after a standoff outside a home in Longview.

According to the Longview Police Department, Desmond Rugley, 20, barricaded himself inside a house in the 800 block of Sheryl Ln., just northwest of the intersection of Pine Tree Rd. and Loop 281, after a search warrant was issued. 

Police say they found about 60 counterfeit fentanyl pills, cocaine and marijuana.

Rugley was arrested and booked into the Gregg County Jail for resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and probation violation. 

He is being held without bond.
