Petoskey calls for muralist to decorate tunnel connecting downtown to Lake Michigan [Video]

PETOSKEY, MI – Petoskey is looking for a muralist to add some color to a pedestrian tunnel that connects its downtown to Lake Michigan.

The walkway tunnel leads to Bayfront Park on Little Traverse Bay; it also connects downtown to the Little Traverse Wheelway. For the past year, it has been home to the city’s public piano. The planned mural will cover its walls and ceiling – about 1,955 square feet.

The city’s public arts commission and Crooked Tree Arts Center have put out a call for entries. They are looking for a Michigan-based artist over 18 years old with mural experience.
