Penny Foundation hosting a free financial literacy event and Birmingham Barons baseball game [Video]

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A free event happening in Birmingham is looking to teach financial literacy with the added treat of Barons baseball.

The Penny Foundation is hosting “Hitting a Home Run in Personal and Business Finance” Saturday, August 17 at Regions Field from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The forum will include panel discussions from local business and community leaders. Professional vendors will also be in attendance to interact with guests. Following the event, registered guests will watch the baseball game between the Birmingham Barons and the Tennessee Smokies.

The event is hosted by the Penny Foundation in partnership with the Jefferson County Commission, Birmingham Business Resource Center, and several other community partners.
