Brought over from Vegas in the offseason, Smith struggled to reproduce his 2022-23 numbers when he racked up 26 goals and 30 helpers. The lack of productivity, combined with a $5 million cap hit, could see Smith on the trade block during the summer as the fit in Pittsburgh doesn’t seem to be working.
