GRAND RAPIDS, MI– Spring is here and that means ice cream shops are starting to open their doors for the season. On Tuesday, Frosty Boy in the Creston neighborhood opened for the season with lines at times stretching around the corner.
βIt was our busiest opening day to date,β said Alyssa Naumann who purchased Frosty Boy with her husband Kyle in 2015.
Frosty Boy was a neighborhood favorite for decades before shuttering the doors in 2005. Ehnry Miklosovic and her three-year-old son Watson walked through the neighborhood to be some of the first in line, βI think it is a perfect day to open, with warmer days ahead,β Ehnry said.
The property was purchase by Grand Rapids Public School and sat vacant for a few years before two businesses, Bros BBQ & Ice Creamand Dizzy Dog would try their hand at operating the business. Today business is going strong since the Naumanns took over, …
