Forecasters warned Tuesday of “life-threatening, destructive” gusts that could last for days while toppling trees and bringing extreme fire risk.
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. — More than 30,000 people are under evacuation orders as the wind-driven Palisades Fire burns through the Los Angeles hillsides.
Fire crews responded Tuesday morning to a handful of small blazes across Southern California, but one that started southeast of Palisades Drive around 10:30 a.m. has grown significantly throughout the day. More than 13,000 structures are under threat.
