Paint 3D’s Farewell? Microsoft To Remove Classic Paint App’s Alternative From Its Store, Pause Updates Soon: Report [Video]

Microsoft introduced Paint 3D years ago as a possible alternative to Paint and shipped it as a pre-installed application on Windows. However, it seems the new Paint failed to capture the lustre of the classic app and is now set for a farewell. Years after its existence, Microsoft noted that Paint 3D would be removed from the Microsoft Store starting November 4, 2024.

According to a screengrab post by X (formerly Twitter) user @phantomofearth, the app will not receive any future updates from November 4. News outlet Windows Latest also observed a similar message informing users of end-of-support in the Windows 11 beta channel on PC. However, we could not see any such message on a stable Windows OS running PC.
