The certification of the sale of Glenwood Regional Medical Center to a new prospective owner has been delayed until August 13.According to documents filed in court Wednesday, July 31, Glenwood’s current owner Steward Health Care says the successful bid by American Healthcare Systems has been delayed due to allocation disputes. During court proceedings, a lawyer for Medical Properties Trust stated the lease for the real estate is not at issue, but the delay was more due to the operations side of the transaction.
