Justin Brown, 39, is accused of taking $7,500 from a victim, and then refusing to perform the work he’d been hired to do.
NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Police have charged a York County contractor with multiple offenses after he allegedly refused to perform the work he’d been hired to do.
Justin Brown, 39, of New Cumberland, is charged with false statement for home improvement, theft by deception and harassment after an investigation by Fairview Township Police.
According to police, the victim gave Brown $7,500 to work on a project at their home.
Brown allegedly took the money to purchase materials needed for the project, but never did the work and refused to return the victim’s money, police said.
Brown was arrested on Dec. 24, 2024, according to police.
