Network Ireland Cork hosts workshop on AI literacy for members [Video]

Network Ireland Cork, the leading organisation for women in business in Cork, recently hosted an interactive workshop for businesses on practical applications for artificial intelligence.

‘AI Literact: Unlock Productivity & Innovation’ took place the Metropole Hotel Cork as part of Network Ireland Cork’s monthly series of events and was attended by more than 60 members and guests.

Siobhán O’Leary, AI strategist and founder of SOL Learning, moderated the session, and UCC Digital Transformation Lab co-founders Tony Moroney and Paidi O’Reilly delivered a presentation with insights on AI’s ability to improve productivity, competitiveness and offer opportunities for skill development and career advancement.

During the event, attendees learned how generative AI is permeating every industry and what the future holds for this evolving technology.

Moroney and O’Reilly highlighted the importance of human oversight in AI implementation, stressing that while AI can improve efficiency, strategic thinking and ethical considerations such as data safety and privacy must remain at the forefront.
