National Urban League urging young people to get out and vote [Video]

Some big names in politics gathered Wednesday to embolden New Orleans’ youth to vote ahead of the upcoming election. The National Urban League held a rally at Xavier University, urging people to focus on the election, but also keep in mind issues that could impact them.As the country prepares to elect a new president, Rhonda Spears Bell, the league’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said they are calling on young voters. “They absolutely understand what’s at stake but they need to understand that they need to exercise their power,” said Bell.The organization held a rally called “Reclaim Your Vote,” with the goal of getting people excited to head to the polls.
