MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Another attempt to recruit quality teachers to work for Tennessee’s largest school district is happening this week, and you can attend from the comfort of your home.
It’s a new push to get more teachers inside the classroom.
This comes as MSCS said there are hundreds of teacher openings, and the school year begins in less than three weeks.
The first virtual hiring event is Tuesday, July 16 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The second one this week is Thursday, July 18 also from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
These are virtual events and it is a big push by the district to find qualified teachers even beyond Memphis and Shelby County.
MSCS posted on X that it’s more than a typical job fair and they want more people to apply even outside of Shelby County.
