Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight: How much money did they earn? [Video]

Netflix hasn’t officially disclosed how much each fighter is making, but Jake Paul did share a dollar amount leading up to the fight.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight at AT&T Stadium on Friday night was a hotly anticipated affair that, um, didn’t quite live up to the hype.

The fight *technically* wasn’t free to watch, but anyone with a Netflix subscription could tune in to watch see the fight. Not bad, considering the cost of a Netflix subscription is far less than what high-profile boxing pay-per-views have historically cost. (That didn’t stop people from complaining about buffering issues during the livestream, though.)

Somewhat less clear was how much Tyson and Paul earned for the fight.

Neither side, nor Netflix, have officially disclosed how much the fighters are getting paid. But a hint here or there, some analysis from boxing experts and a look at the recent payouts for major fights …

"This is about, how do we make it even better?" Albuquerque Police Department Chief Harold Medina said. "We have a great process in Albuquerque. Although they are down, he knows the toll it takes on his officers to investigate them."It would really be able to reduce the caseload down to a level that doesn't impact us as much," Medina said.This is part of the Albuquerque metro initiative on crime which details some of the things he wants to see the legislature address in January. Medina said lawmakers and organizations are in support of this idea."They're very interested in it," the chief aid. "And I've actually even spoken to the ACLU about it. In New Mexico, he estimates there are 50 officer-involved shootings a year. Medina believes this type of investment would also help build trust with people and law enforcement. The task force would be a third party group with no connection to law enforcement groups in New Mexico.It's a move he believes is vital in ensuring transparency. "We have a great process in Albuquerque," Medina said.
