Medina Schools to present reduction plan at September board meeting [Video]

MEDINA, Ohio — While Medina City School District officials plan to start the new school year with hope and GRIT, they also plan to be prepared for any outcome of the November election.

Superintendent Aaron Sable said that GRIT — an acronym for growth, resilience, initiative and teamwork — is the theme for the 2024-25 school year.

“These are the exact characteristics required of us to move into the school year, and also all are qualities of Portrait of a Bee,” Sable said.

While the district isn’t implementing new courses this year due to recent budget cuts, Sable said faculty and staff are committed to implementing deeper learning in classrooms as they focus on Portrait of a Bee strategies.

“We are fortunate to have implemented outstanding programing over the past eight years and are dedicated to continue feeding these initiatives,” he said.
