Man who helped family with food, necessities, sexually abused 12-year-old daughter over 2 years: police [Video]

A 54-year-old caretaker was charged with 5 felonies and one misdemeanor after police say he sexually abused a 12-year-old girl over two years inside his Lebanon and Dauphin County homes.

Chandra Subedi, of Lebanon County, acted as a caretaker for the family and was listed as an emergency contact for the girl at her school, according to North Londonderry Township police. He used his access to the girl to molest her nearly every day, police said.

The investigation into Subedi began in January when North Londonderry Township police received a call from a high school counselor who had been alerted by email to potential sexual abuse of the girl, who was a student there. The school nurse made a referral to ChildLine, as required by law and the counselor shared the email with police.
