The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said a man died following an accident involving a cherry picker on Thursday around 1:50 p.m.According to the coroner, a man died after a cherry picker fell on a property on Sunny Lane in Anderson.Officials said the man rented the cherry picker to work on trees. The lift was not anchored properly and fell over while he was on it. The man landed in a creek and did not survive.The coroner identified the victim as 51-year-old Daniel Christopher Brown Sr.The investigation indicates the victim was self-employed trimming trees for an individual homeowner in a local neighborhood and while using a cherry picker to trim some limbs, the cherry picker overturned causing the victim the victim to fall approximately 40-50 feet to the ground, the coroner said.The death has been ruled accidental.
