Man arrested for allegedly stealing appliances from Tupelo businesses | News [Video]

A man faces multiple commercial burglary charges in Tupelo.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – Tupelo Police have arrested a man accused of stealing appliances from local businesses.

Edward Baker, 57, has been arrested and charged with three counts of commercial burglary.

Police report he is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of appliances and equipment from Clayton Homes and at the Tupelo Home Center.

Both mobile home dealers are on South Gloster Street near Highway 278.

Clayton Homes General Manager Alex Decker said Baker stole kitchen appliances, including a stove from one of his homes on the lot.

Decker said even though they weren’t able to recover all of their stolen property, he is grateful police made an arrest.

He is being held without bond, according to police.
