Loving Laps donates homemade quilts to local seniors this holiday season [Video]

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Loving Laps Quilters makes lap-sized quilts (45″x60″) for patients in long-term care facilities and home-bound seniors in the Reno/Sparks area. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month from January through November to assemble our quilts. This year they will be delivering 300+ quilts on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Denise Jahn and Sheilah Capurro stopped by Morning Break to share the love and joy their group has throughout the year making the quilts and what it means to them to be able to donate their hard work to local seniors.

Loving Laps is part of a larger group, North South Quilters through Newcomers of Northern Nevada. Loving Laps delivers quilts directly to long-term care facilities and also give some of our quilts to Catholic Charities to distribute to home-bound seniors.
