Loved ones of 4-month-old attacked by dog speak out [Video]

On Sunday, WDSU told you about a 4-month-old baby being attacked by a dog in Bridge City.On Wednesday, WDSU spoke with the loved ones of that baby who described how the horrible attack happened.Rodney Pickett, a loved one of the baby, told WDSU that the baby is still at Children’s Hospital recovering from serious injuries.“To see that happen to a four-month-old child, I hope nobody ever has to witness that,” Pickett said.Pickett said he was right there when an exotic bulldog owned by his family attacked the infant. He said the dog started in a friendly manner with the baby and then the unthinkable happened. He said first responders took a while to arrive, so the baby’s mother ran to the nearest fire department seeking help, while neighbors jumped in to assist.“It was already a really traumatic situation, considering how bad the damage was.
