Louisiana man accused of killing priest due in court [Video]

A man accused of murdering a Covington priest and parishioner is due in court Tuesday. Antonio Tyson is charged in connection with the murders of Rev. Otis Young and his friend Ruth Prats. He is accused of burning their bodies in 2022. Tyson has pleaded not guilty. WDSU has learned that the state turned over DNA analysis in the case. Tyson’s court hearing begins at 9 a.m. Timeline of murders:On Nov. 27, 2022, Covington police responded to a report of a hit-and-run near St. Tammany Bike Trace and Bogue Falaya Towers Condominiums.Officers were given Ruth Prats’ license plate from a witness on the scene. When officers tried to contact Prats, they couldn’t find her.
