PORTLAND, Maine — As the executive producer and director of “Wild Crime,” a documentary series whose new episode has just dropped, Lisa Wolfinger pays careful attention to getting every detail right. The stories are often told through re-enactments, and she wants them to be as authentic as possible.
Wolfinger has guided the series from the beginning. It’s produced by Lone Wolf Media in South Portland, a business she co-founded and runs with her husband. As she began preparing for the most recent episode, her mind turned to potential locations where she could shoot.
Doing re-enactments in Maine when possible makes her happy. She gets to sleep in her own bed at night, pump money into the Maine economy, and nurture aspiring actors and filmmakers by giving them work.
