Kuna man arrested for possessing illegal explosives [Video]

Residents of a Kuna neighborhood were asked to evacuate while a bomb squad recovered the explosives.

KUNA, Idaho — A Kuna man is in jail after law enforcement found explosives in his house.

Tyson Jardine, 37, was arrested after police found the destructive devices and tracked the man to a campsite in Elmore County. Jardine is charged with five counts of unlawful possession of bombs or destructive devices.

“What we have found so far is that it does not appear that he’s been working with any groups, or any type of organization that would have a plan for these explosive devices,” Ada County Sheriff Matt Clifford said during a press conference Sunday.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to suspicious activity at a house in a Kuna neighborhood on July 24, where illegal explosives and chemicals were found in a garage.
