MOOREHEAD, M.N. (Valley News Live) – The Junkyard Brewing Company is collaborating with the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center to celebrate Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
“For me it was seeing a social media post that RACC had put out, basically kind of calling for help,” said Aaron Juhnke, owner of Junkyard Brewing Company.
The idea for collaboration with the RACC came to Juhnke when he saw a social media post by the Crisis Center.
“They posted some pretty dramatic numbers to those increases. And seeing some other stories in the news about women passing away due to domestic violence,” said Juhnke.
Like many of us, he wanted to do something, and he found a way to do it. The drink of choice both parties chose is a popular beverage in the brewery.
“It’s a mango and coconut sour,” said Juhnke.
