Jeffersonville’s Census Bureau offices relocating to new facility 12 miles away | News from WDRB [Video]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Census Bureau in southern Indiana is moving.

The government office is moving from its longtime home at 10th and Main Streets in Jeffersonville to River Ridge in Charlestown.

Census Bureau officials notified employees on Friday that is had signed a lease last week for a new building that will be the new National Processing Center (NPC).

“The NPC will move from Jeffersonville, Ind. to the new location in Clark County (about 12 miles away) on 1751 Penny Martin Lane in Charlestown, Ind. With this move, employees will be able to work in one state-of-the art building instead of multiple buildings across a large campus. The Census Bureau looks forward to working with GSA to complete the move in the summer of 2026,” the Census Bureau said in a statement to WDRB.
