BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The doors are now locked on the Trendsetters Lounge and Event Space on 27th Street North. This is the same business where police responded to a mass shooting last weekend.
It left four dead and ten others injured.
A Jefferson County judge granted the city’s request for temporary restraining order against the business Friday morning.
In the hearing, a Birmingham police sergeant described the shooting scene as “pandemonium and panic”. He says every patrol officer assigned to north Birmingham responded.
He says when he arrived, he saw someone dead on the sidewalk, two women dead once he got inside, and found another who was shot.
The sergeant said the only way he could possibly explain it was that while he had seen plenty movies, this was real life. He said there was a lot of blood and called what he saw “gruesome.”
