After several years of hard work trying to earn his way onto an NBA roster, Jay Huff has finally found his professional home.
The former Virginia star has signed a multi-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, the team announced on Monday. The team did not release the terms of the contract, but according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, it is a four-year deal.
“It’s awesome,” Huff told reporters of his new contract on Monday in Memphis. “My wife and I were talking about it a lot over the past 24 hours. because it happened really fast. We were just talking about how excited we were not only to stick somewhere, because we have bounced a lot, but to stick somewhere we really like.”
Huff has looked right at home with the Grizzlies this season. Through the first four games of the season, the former Virginia star is averaging 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game while …
