Jackson County rejects ballot question [Video]

The Jackson County Legislature has voted against placing a Chiefs-only stadium sales tax on the November ballot.The ballot question would have called for a 20-year extension of the sales tax, reduced to one-quarter of a cent. The tax would have aimed to keep the Chiefs in Jackson County for 20 years.Because Missouri’s ballot certification deadline is Tuesday, it is highly unlikely the measure will appear on the November ballot.
