Ivy that was potted 15 years ago grow into a 300ft monster spanning walls and ceilings – despite being cut back [Video]

A humble office plant that was first potted 15-years-ago is flourishing with a mass spanning over 300ft, even after being cut back.

The 300ft ivy plant covers the walls and ceiling at the office of Protective Solutions, a packaging company owned by bosses Allie Brennan, 52, and husband, Des, in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. 

The huge office ivy, which is nicknamed ‘Audrey II’  after The Little Shop of Horrors film, was initially bought from B&Q for Allie and Des’ bathroom at home.

However, due to the plant’s ‘rapid growth’ they were left with ‘no other option’ but to take it to work.

Now, more than 15 years later, the plant has grown to ‘well-over’ 300 feet long – sprouting new shoots to pin up across the office walls and ceiling ‘every day’.
