COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Kadeem and Spc. Odane Cranston tell 11 News while they were close before, but the connection they share as firefighters has only made them closer as they have continued to train together in a field where, they say, there is always more to learn.
“From sunny beaches to cold mountainside, it’s definitely a culture shock for sure,” Kadeem Cranston said.
Two brothers thousands of miles from home share a career path both working at Fort Carson as firefighters. Odane Cranston is a part of the military firefighting team. Kadeem Cranston is a part of the Fort Carson Fire Department.
“I told him about the department, and he was he wanted to join so I basically influenced him to come to Fort Carson and join the fire department,” Odane said.
