Irish sales teams embracing AI but security concerns linger [Video]

More than eight in 10 sales teams in Ireland are now using artificial intelligence in their day-to-day work, Salesforce has found.

The customer relationship management software developer said that 83% of sales teams here have fully implemented or are experimenting with AI.

A further 14% of teams are evaluating the technology, meaning just 3% have sworn off AI to date.

Salesforce’s State of Sales report shows that sales professionals have turned to AI to improve productivity and personalisation, but there remain concerns regarding integration and customer distrust.

Better understanding customer needs was cited as the top benefit of AI to sales team while security was the top obstacle.

The report also found that sales employees are largely remaining put as the labour market tightens, with an average staff turnover of 18% over the past 12 months, down from 25% in 2022.
