Q) I’m self-employed and love what I do – my days are varied and I have the flexibility to choose when I work, which fits in well around family commitments.

However, I see my employed friends get regular pay rises, promotions and training, and I’m wondering how to progress in my own career and grow my skill set.

Day rates in my industry tend to be within a certain range, and I feel like I’ve hit a ceiling in terms of earning potential. Do you have any suggestions?
