LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Things got a little spooky Saturday afternoon in Louisville’s NuLu neighborhood.
The NuLu Business Association hosted its inaugural “Ghouls and Drools” Halloween event.
The pet-friendly event featured a Halloween costume contest, photo booth, retail specials and pet-themed promotions.
Dogs could even go trick-or-treating to local businesses for some treats.
Hotel Genevieve simultaneously hosted the Genevieve Strut, which featured dogs in adorable costumes and a canine couture runway. The event benefits the Arrow Fund which helps abused and neglected animals.
“The turnout was amazing, the weather couldn’t be more beautiful,” Rachel Porter, Hotel Genevieve Marketing manager said. “Like I said, this is our second one, so it is even better than last year and we can’t wait for next year to see what the turnout will look like for that.
There was even a doggie kissing booth that was too cute to pass up.
