NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Organizations in the Lowcountry are working to provide free rides to the polls so everyone can exercise their rights on Election Day.
The Airport Limo Taxi Association at the Charleston International Airport is one of many organizations working to bring registered voters to the polls.
The association has partnered with multiple different transportation companies at the airport, as well as local churches and community volunteers to offer free rides to anyone who wants to vote.
They are well-prepared with eight independent companies participating.
The leaders behind this initiative believe that everyone deserves to have their voice heard. Abdel Bahlaq is the owner of S&S Taxi Services, one of the participants in the “Transport to Vote” initiative.
