How to find your evacuation zone | FireWatch [Video]

MEDFORD, Ore. — Fire season is underway in Southern Oregon and first responders are urging residents to “know their zone” in case of evacuations. Knowing your zone is the best way to protect yourself and your family from wildfires.

The process to finding your evacuation zone is simple, but is different depending on if you live in Oregon or California.

Oregon

1.) Visit protect.genasys.com

2.) Enter your home or business address

3.) Once you’ve entered your address, you should be able to see your evacuation zone.

California (Siskiyou County)

1.) Visit the Siskiyou County government’s website

2.) Click on Ready Siskiyou Alerts

3.) Log into your account, or create one

4.) If you’re creating an account, fill in your name, address, phone number and any additional information

5.) Once you have an account, you should be able to see your evacuation zone.
