An investigation is ongoing following an intentionally set fire at a vacant home in west Charlotte, as confirmed by the Charlotte Fire Department. According to WCCB, firefighters responded to the scene on Thriftwood Drive, near Freedom Drive, shortly after midnight and were able to extinguish the blaze without any injuries.
Upon further examination, it was revealed that the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The damage from the incident is estimated at around $26,000. Authorities are now working to determine the circumstances surrounding the fire and any potential suspects involved.
