House catches fire in Hadley-Washington neighborhood [Video]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A house was left heavily damaged after a fire sparked in the early morning hours on Friday in the Hadley-Washington neighborhood.

The Nashville Fire Department dispatched multiple crews to a home in the 700 block of 28th Avenue North around 4:45 a.m. on Friday. They arrived to find the flames coming from the roof of the house and quickly worked on containment.

A small stretch of 28th Avenue North was closed from Clifton Avenue to Batavia Street to allow fire personnel space to work. Electricity was cut off.

The house sustained heavy damage to the roof, which partially collapsed on the left side.

No injuries were reported as the house was empty at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
