Bernadette Joy, a money coach at Crush Your Money Goals, shared how hitting the unsubscribe button could help you improve passive income.

A 2023 Forbes Advisor survey found that about 70% of respondents either live paycheck to paycheck or struggle to cover their expenses. Many people ask how to make passive income, but the first step is reducing how much you’re giving away in passive income to others.

Here are a few tips Joy shared to improve your own passive income:

• Your debt is someone else’s passive income
• Use the unsubscribe button to free your cash flow
• Unsubscribe from social media accounts and emails that prompt spending
• Trade streaming for real-life experiences

Joy explained that subscriptions aren’t bad if used intentionally, but regularly hitting the unsubscribe button can save both money and time.
