The spot where HIghways 401, 407 and 413 will meet in Mississauga.
Ontario’s Transportation Minister Prabmeet Sarkaria says some preliminary work has started in Mississauga on Highway 413.
Sarkaria announced through social media today (Dec. 27) that crews have started drilling boreholes at the Highway 401 and 407 interchange where it will eventually connect to Highway 413.
Boreholes are usually dug in advance to give construction crews an idea of the type of soil they will be dealing with to determine the type of equipment to be used during any extravasation work.
Highway 413 will run from Highway 400 in the east to the 401/407 interchange in the west.
The 52-km highway will see the 413 cut through Vaughan, Caledon, Brampton, Halton Hills, Milton and Mississauga and is being built relieve traffic congestion in the GTA.
