WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – After a bit of a slow start Sunday night, the West Fargo Patriots dominated and then some in a doubleheader sweep over the Harrisburg (SD) Tigers 13-3 and 11-0.
The day’s first contest went into the third inning tied 1-1 with both runs scoring on a wild pitch. That’s when West Fargo took control, putting six runs on the board to take a huge lead and one they would not surrender.
Game two was a shutout win for the Patriots and a mercy rule victory. West Fargo led 2-0 going into the third inning when the Patriots struck for a massively crooked number, scoring eight runs in the frame.
Next up, West Fargo travels west to Jamestown to face the Eagles in another doubleheader Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
