High school students can apply for mentorship program with West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber [Video]

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce is offering high school students a chance to prepare for the professional world through a free, six-month mentorship program.

The program aims to educate and inspire, encourage the development of essential skills, and provide real-world experience.

The Chamber says they plan to address these goals by connecting students with successful role models and mentors; teaching soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork; and offering job-shadowing opportunities.

“By preparing our youth to thrive professionally, we contribute to the growth and prosperity of our community,” reads a press release from the Chamber. “We envision a future where our students are empowered to build successful careers and raise their families right here in West Monroe and West Ouachita.”

Enrollment for the program is open until Aug. 14. To enroll or learn more information, contact the WMWO Chamber of Commerce at mentor@westmonroechamber.org or call (318)-325-1961.
