Heres what Michigan seniors evacuated from condemned building have faced for 6 months [Video]

ADRIAN, MI – Officials alerted dozens of senior residents six months ago that they needed to immediately leave Riverview Terrace Apartments.

The apartment building at 400 College Ave. in Adrian was evacuated when the city condemned the building after the discovery of large cracks in the building’s foundation. City and Lenawee County officials worked to find temporary housing for more than 60 residents in the meantime.

More than three dozen of the displaced seniors now live in a former Travelodge motel, now called The Adrian Inn, 1575 W. Maumee St., with no date set for their return to Riverview Terrace. They say they’ve dealt with bug infestations, medical issues and lack of healthy food in their new homes.
