ANDOVER, Conn. (WFSB) – A grassroots non-profit is providing a spooky experience while giving back to a population in need.
Haunts for the Homeless is a 501-c3 created to raise awareness and support the homeless.
Everyone is invited to Fitch Family Farm in Andover tomorrow and Saturday to get spooked in their 3D haunted house. All admission goes toward helping those who need it most.
Director Jef Benson said the idea came to him after he struggled with homelessness.
“Sometimes I feel like we don’t do enough, we could do more. I wish we could do more. But as for now, we help feed the homeless, we donate to shelters, and we have a pay-it-back outreach,” he said.
The funds will go directly to homeless shelters in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
