Has Harris-Walz ticket uncovered 9 million more possible votes? [Video]

The Democratic National Committee is reportedly prepared to spend millions of dollars for the first time to increase voter turnout overseas.

The DNC plans to spend $3 million to mobilize “9 million Democrats working overseas, or military personnel serving overseas who are still registered to vote back home,” according to a report from MediasTouch News.

According to the report, “There are approximately 1,625,136 people living abroad from Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin all battleground states.”

The right to vote in U.S. elections is determined by citizenship — not residence.

U.S. citizens living overseas can request a ballot from the Federal Voting Assistance Program. Of the 2.8 million U.S. citizens who were eligible to vote in the 2022 election, only 3.4% cast a ballot.
