Also obvious: Penn State’s Allar-led offense needs to win some big games in 2024.
The efforts in 2023 losses to Ohio State, Michigan and Ole Miss won’t cut it.
The Nittany Lions must create more big plays through the air and score more points against the best teams they will face.
A loaded Buckeyes squad visits State College on Nov. 2. PSU opens at West Virginia and the Lions play USC, Wisconsin and Minnesota on the road.
Allar’s overall numbers last year – 25 touchdowns passes and only two interceptions – look exceptional. He threw 311 passes without an interception to begin his career, an FBS record.
If Allar improves on those numbers, it should be a very good year for the Penn State offense.
