Habitat for Humanity awarded Wells Fargo Grant [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls received a big boost this week.

The Wells Fargo Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant to the non-profit organization to help fund the construction of two new single-family homes.

The homes will be built in partnership with Harrisburg High School CTE and Sioux Falls CTE Academy.

“Habitat and the Sioux Falls community are fortunate to have a partner like Wells Fargo who has continued to make these types of investments in affordable housing,” said Rocky Welker, Habitat’s executive director. “Getting their team involved at the ground level of construction is a game changer in our home production capacity.”

Habitat for Humanity said the grant will allow for the rehabilitation of a home they built in 2017 and purchased back from a homeowner last year.
