GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Outside Coffee Co. in Grand Rapids announced it’s closing its doors in October.
In an Instagram post made on Wednesday, the business announced that after six and a half years, they’re officially closing their gates on Oct. 2.
The cafe first opened out of a camper in June 2018.
“Our idea was simple; to create a space for community to gather outside over a cup of coffee,” the post said.
The owners had launched a Kickstarter to help get themselves off the ground, expecting a slow stream of support.
The community had other plans.
“The outpouring of support and shared appreciation of the garden concept blew us away and required us to quickly upgrade to our current food truck the following year,” the post said.
