GoviEx Uranium Inc (TSX-V:GXU, OTCQX:GVXXF) CEO Daniel Major talked with Proactive’s Stephen Gunnion about the company’s progress in 2024 and its strengthened focus on the Muntanga project in Zambia. Major shared updates on the comprehensive work completed, including geotechnical studies, water management, and engineering designs for five deposits. He highlighted that GoviEx moved directly from a preliminary economic assessment to a bankable feasibility study, saving time despite the complexity.
Major revealed that the feasibility study is near completion and will be issued in the coming weeks. Once finalised, it will enable the company to pursue financing options and complete the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for construction approvals. GoviEx aims to begin commercial production at Muntanga by 2028, with early works potentially starting in 2025.
He also discussed plans for the Lundazi license in Zambia, including initial fieldwork once environmental sign-offs are completed.
